I had some questions about the DLL as well, but it is the correct DLL to use with iMS, so I think you can be confident that's not the source of the problem here.

Howie,
This is the DLL I am using:

E:\CFusionMX7\runtime\lib\wsconfig\1\jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll

And I found this in the Exception log file:

"Error","jrpp-4","05/23/06","21:13:49","FusionMailServer","Element IPALLOWED
is undefined in READCONFIG.
The specific sequence of files included or processed is:
E:\iMS\Domains\HELO.CFM, line: 28 "
coldfusion.runtime.UndefinedElementException: Element IPALLOWED is undefined
in READCONFIG.

I have my IPAllowed settings in place, so I am not sure where this error is
coming from.

Thanks,
Dave Hatz

Actually, iMS does not have any interaction with the web server. The 500
error is coming from ColdFusion.

What version ColdFusion is this and what is the iMS version? What DLL are
you mapped to for .cfm templates?

Howie

Kym,
The log file did show me there is an error:

WARNING: HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error

What the hell is a 1.1 500 Internal Server Error?

500 = The web server fell over.

That means you probably did not even get as far as ColdFusion.

Check the infusion engine mapping in iMS to make sure it is pointing
to the correct CF dll. Do you have full wildcard or discrete site
mapping on your CF install? Anything wrong there will make the web
server fall over as what iMS does is effectively make a form post to
the CF templates.

Check the CF application/error logs for errors to see if the call to
the helo template got as far as CF or failed before it reached it.

I do know that the MS
2003 WebServer Edition is very tight as compared to the older version
of MS.

yes and no. a 2003 standard server install does not have have most of
the security items turned on by default, they are just waiting for you
to say "yes!" :-)

Seems to me that I need to enable something on the OS side. Good
news, is that the WebServer edition seems to have security as a top
priority, bad news is, I can't seem to do shit with it :)

I have confirmed CFMX7 is running. I can serve up the Fusion Mail
Web pages just fine.

Good.

Anyways, your help is appreciated and if you could point me in the
direction of getting this fixed, I would appreciate it...

A bit of help above. Our iMS is still running, pounding away more like
:-), on CF 4.5 but we will be upgrading sooner rather than later and
we have massive experience on it. And we do have a fair bit of
knowledge of 2003/CF MX due to our business as a Hosting Provider so I
am extrapolating for these answers :-)
