Howie, I did not completely understand your wording. Did you mean that the Sending-IP attribute is ignored if the configurator option is set to "Auto", and it uses the MX lookup instead of the attribute? Which would take precedence if the two were set to completely different IP addresses?
Also, How would Windows 2000 select an "alternate IP" and where would it look for "known routes"? (IP routing table?) FYI: The POST log displayed the correct IP address, but the actual address used is on a completely separate HUB/NIC/ISP.
