Initng just made it into Fedora Extras! This is something I've been working for a long time, so it's a great step forwards. This means that from now on Fedora users just have to do a "yum install initng" and reboot to be initng users, and that yum will automatically keep initng up2date if there are any new versions.
This raises the big question: Will there be any new versions? Since Jimmy stopped committing new code some months ago really nothing has happened. This is really depressing. Has anyone got any ideas what to do? It doesn't look like Jimmy is really that interested to put all his spare time into coding on initng all by himself. Obviously we need some good coders with some time left over. Anyone got any brilliant ideas? If we want initng to be _the_ replacement for SysVinit there's a lot of work to do! With initng in Fedora Extras we will get more users testing the code and thus we will discover more bugs. /Daniel - who hasn't got the time for much coding :-( -- _______________________________________________ Initng mailing list [email protected] http://jw.dyndns.org/mailman/listinfo/initng
