A while back Jimmy said that he thought of rewriting Initng using an embedded scriptinglanguage. If that happens I suggest using Lua which is extremely small and especially made for embedding. But in that cases all .i file have to be reformatted over to .lua files. Jimmy also said that he thought that Initng has getting bloated which if he meant the API I don't agree with. I think Initng has the features it should have, I don't see the bloat there. I don't know C so if he meant the codebase I don't have on opinion.
About event support, I haven't reallly get how it works. That Upstart talk about eventually replacing init, cron and inet daemons with one sounds not good to me. Now that would be bloated. :D greets Jens -- _______________________________________________ Initng mailing list [email protected] http://jw.dyndns.org/mailman/listinfo/initng
