"IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU"
I think that what we're crying out for as a country is a vision of something that is bigger than us, yet what we're being sold is a campaign that says "It's all about you."
So, if we had a political party with a vision that would show us something bigger than us....
When they were asked about the environment and it's impact on jobs, the answer would be "It's not about you"
When they were asked about taxation and the use of the money to go towards tertiary education, the answer would be "It's not about you"
When they were asked about border protection and keeping refugees detained, the answer would be "It's not about you"
That's a vision that I think might break through the murky waters of the conservative swamp that we're in at the moment, that would challenge this idea od entitlement, that would challenge the prosperity culture... And it's a vision that I'm afraid not even the Greens promoted this year.
