Upgrading my S10u3 to S10u5 does not work at the moment. I don't get an upgrade option. I have asked more information on the conditions on install-discuss at opensolaris.
However, I'm just thinking, maybe solaris Live Upgrade can be fooled? What if I do a Live Upgrade of my S10u3 to S10u5 *without* the zones. (I just temporarely remove the /etc/zones/<files>). I think this upgrade should work then. After that I put back the (OLD) zones on the new S10u5 environment. I know the zones should not work right, but they'll be "just there" As a third step I do *another* Live Upgrade *with* zones from S10u5 to S10u5. Is it possible this approach could work?
