Yes, that's correct. > If this is the case, please note that this installer > (referred as SXDE) > is going to be obsoleted and will be no longer > delivered with SXCE releases > starting build 91. Ah, good. I'll hold off on upgrading/fixing my system then. Or is there a way to select the other installer? (I can't remeber exactly what the menu looked like--it's been a week or two.) > Appropriate CR is > > grub menu needs to be modified to remove SXDE > installer for SXCE releases > http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6706707 Excellent, thank you. This also explains the confusion when I did the install. The install kept calling the release SXDE when I _knew_ I had SXCE, and when the system booted up, this was confirmed. I couldn't figure out why the installer had the SXDE references. > Could you please try installer in Indiana release and > if the bug exists > there as well, could you please file bug against > Indiana installer (using > the approach I mentioned in my last response) ? I don't have a test system. This is on my home server, which runs my Sun Rays, etc. That's why this whole change, particularly the disk partitions, is so frustrating. I won't even be downloading Indiana for a very, very long time. It is of absolutely no use to me. > I am sorry for the confusion - Indiana installer is > not related > to SXCE releases - it is being delivered only on > Indiana LiveCD. No problem. Thank you for clearing this up. I hope that the new installer becomes much more robust before it's rolled into the SXCE releases. Rainer This message posted from opensolaris.org
