Also, Frank L noted that the current Indiana image doesn't include the zfs gui. While we can do all of this via the zfs cli, perhaps we should consider including the zfs gui in the distribution for ease of use. It is a very good gui. However, it may require more dependent software than we want to consider.
I agree in general that the installer should do what the installer needs to do. All sysadmin type things that are not required for install should be deferred. One of the major issues we had in the old installer was feature creep. It was too complex.
