Interesting. I actually see it very differently. Design reviews have a very important role to ensure that enhancements to Solaris fit into the bigger picture and that the necessarily unique view of any one individual is balanced by a broader perspective. It's a large part of why Solaris (and Open Solaris) are different. Sometimes the reviews are more or less formal, but they're absolutely an essential part of the engineering process in this organization. Frankly, I think that getting broader feedback on designs and directions is one of the cool opportunities about having development in the OpenSolaris community. My two cents, Eric -- Eric J.
