Murali: The Intel 945G support is a known issue and is tracked under bugid 6337497. There is still no data on which build of Nevada will have the support. Since no NEvada support is available, this will not be in an S10 update releases yet.
6337497 - X server can not be started on Intel 945G chipset The system that had 512 MB of Memory also had issues GUI install, Those are tracked under the following bugids: 6512362 - Install hangs on systems with 512 MB of memory in snv_55a even after 6423854 is integrated. 6423854 - GUI installs hang on systems with 384/512/578 MB of memory The workaround will be to use the text installer. For Nevada, when you boot from the Solaris 11 DVD and get to the grub menu, make sure you choose the second option which is Solaris Express Edition. After that starts, you will see six options and make sure that you use option #4 which is the text installer to do the install. For S10 updates, just boot from the DVD and you will see six options and make sure tha tyou use option #4 which is the text installer.
