In my view some of the new icons go green and some don't. So on a
page where you have these intermixed you look at the page and don't
see all green for up or all not green for up. Maybe a green badge for
an up device, then we retain the great looking icons in a natural
state? Before a lack of color usually meant you had set something to
non polling. I did just see that non polling now get a question mark
badge. I would like to see something to signify up and a green badge
would keep it visually appealing. Of course then all the other new
icons should also follow this path so a map looks all the same.

Folks:
Thanks for all the attention to details here. It's straightforward
to create
another set of icons that do turn green. But before we do the work,
I want to
explain how InterMapper is supposed to work, and to verify what
changes you'd
like to see:
1) InterMapper is designed to "tint" an icon with yellow, orange or
red if it's
in warning, alarm, or critical/down condition. If the device is OK/
Up, then:
1a) If the icon has many colors in it, then it retains that coloring
1b) If the icon is greyscale (only composed of greys), it gets
tinted green.
The attached image shows the icon picker's Default Icons. The icons
circled in
green are greyscale, and will be colored green when they're OK.
*All* other
icons contain colors (some are subdued - see the selected HTTP
icon) and were
designed not to turn green.
2) What icons would you like to see turn green? (The easy way to
specify this
would be to list the filenames as shown in the icon picker.)
Finally, we've been delighted by the positive response to this
release. There is
(obviously) a lot of interest in these icons. How do they make your
life better?
Many thanks!
