Michael,

You can get more detailed logging information for the failed page as
follows:

1. In the Server Settings > Log Files settings, add a new log file named
"paging".
2. Open the notifier window for the Cingular notifier and click the 'test'
button to send a test page.
3. A "paging.txt" file will be created in the InterMapper Settings >
InterMapper Logs folder. It will contain additional debugging information.
You can send the log to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please provide the version of
InterMapper that you are using as well as the platform where it is installed
in your message.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe there is a way to
view pending pages in any of the log files.

Subject: [IM-Talk] Intermapper Pager Alerts Problems

Hi everyone, two things! Having "fun" with pager alerting...

First, I know there is a "Abort Pending Pages" button on the Notifier
List, but is there a way to see what, if any, pages are pending/in the
que to be sent? A log?

I can see in the event log of Intermapper "Pager Message Sent...." etc,
but if there's pages not yet actually completed, is there a log or list
of this?

Secondly, I can't seem to get pages through to a Cingular phone. My
Sprint phone is fine, can get pages all day long, but not the Cingular.
I also saw a message on the Intermapper log that went something like
this;

"ERR! Modem page server failure; protocol error trying to send TAP
message. Page may not have been sent for pager number (number here)
(Reply = 101)"

I researched on the Internet and got Cingular's TAP number
(18009094602), and when the page goes out in Intermapper, I can see/hear
the modem dial out, I hear it connect and make all the screeching noises
a modem will make when connecting. But the phone never gets a message.
Anyone have a similar problem or advise where to go to next? (Cingular
support?)

Thanks a lot! Modems are a pain!! :)

Michael
