Ok, good to know............ but - I still like the drop down list of all devices. Can the find function involve looking for stuff you don't know the exact of. (what we're doing now) And the option to find something from a list?
I have densely populated maps and I'll get a call about a switch and I could stare at the map for a long time and not find it quickly. Selecting from the list is almost immediate. Trying to find it and then pressing F3 multiple times is not as quick. This is a bug in 4.5. It will be fixed in 4.6. The problem is that when a vertex (Device or Network) is selected, its Z-order ('depth' or 'layer' on the map) changes. Changing the Z- order changes the order of the vertices. The Find algorithm iterated over this list, looking for the next match. Since the Find action changes the selection and the order changes every time the selection changes, the Find algorithm could get stuck in a loop. -Tex Clayton Dartware, LLC http://www.dartware.com ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
