Haven't got together with the messaging group for specifics. So at the moment they are just watching normal SNMP stuff for the W2K3 platform.
I can envision wanting to look at exchange queue lengths, get blackberry users on a server and other stuff that may not be "monitoring" per se but that can be clicked on from an Intermapper map and presented to the NOC analyst. So far, I've shown them how to create a Helper to open a spreadsheet to display static information. Not an automatically/dynamically populated infostore but it puts info at the analyst's "mouse" and they don't have to go search for it. They loved that simple "tool". Anything more will wow them..... :-) The requirements are still very "what can we do" not "this is what we want". So far, no one has volunteered anything so I'm just coasting in the meantime until I have the time to give it some serious time, not just 5 mins here and 10 mins there. Cheers David -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kevin Wigle Sent: Thursday, 7 June 2007 3:09 p.m. To: 'InterMapper Discussion' Subject: [IM-Talk] BlackBerry and Exchange Dear Group, Today I created some beginning demo maps for our national NOC to monitor BlackBerry and Exchange 2003 servers. I'm not a messaging guy. Does anyone out there have anything specific (probes) for these platforms? Or suggest something that messaging people would like to monitor that IM can provide? We're hoping that a demo coming up with this particular messaging group would help us solidify Intermapper's position in our organization. tia, Kevin ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---- Unison uses e-mail as a fast and relatively informal means of communication.
