InterMapper Team: I have made this request a few years ago but the feature hasn't been picked up yet. It would be useful if I could leave the Event Log (or some other created log) open and view the events for just a specific device I am monitoring. I guess this is similar to the way you can create strip charts for a specific device except this would be for logs. This way you can see an instant history of alarms, SNMP traps and other info for a single device.
It seems as if some of the facility to do this is partially in place. You can create a new log file under Server Settings > Server Preferences > Log Files. There is a partial filtering of events setup where you can redirect Remote Server, Web Server or Telnet Server events to this new log file. Would this be difficult to expand this existing feature to any device? Is this something that others would find useful?
