We are trying to figure out how to use "group" or some other method for notifiers where we have an escalation path.
We only want to attach 1 notifier to the device, and have that be a group if possible. Let say we have these members of the group. On-call (page on-call immediately no delay, also the page will continue every 10 minutes till acknowledged) First-escalation (page engineer after a delay of 10 minutes and continue every 10 minutes till acknowledged) Second-escalation (page manager after a delay of 20 minutes and continue every 10 minutes till acknowledged) Third-escalation (page director after a delay of 30 minutes and continue every 10 minutes till acknowledged) I can put the delay and repeat on the group entry, that is tied to the device, but unless I attach each notifier to the device directly, I can not give them separate delays. If this can not be done now, could this be a feature request for the future, that a group notifier would have some type of delay that could be configured for each entry? It boils down to us either attaching 1 notifier to a device, or 4 notifiers. Also we plan on having 2 different groups On-hours-page (needs escalation) Off-hours-page (needs escalation) Email-only The difference is because during "On" office hours, we want the delays and repeate to be shorter, since we can respond quicker. If we can not figure out how to do this, we will have to add one of two sets of 4 notifiers to a device, and we plan on making email-only the default.
