I know what you are saying dup mismatch will cause CRC...
But some systems for some crazy reason negotiate at 10full which really
should not be ....

To re-state the question..
Is there a way to detect anything at or below 100meg....

Wouldn't that require duplex mismatch? If I hard set both sides of the
connection to half duplex, there will be no drops. I think the original
question needs clarification...
Do you want to detect duplex state or duplex mismatch events? In case of
mismatch, there will be CRC errors.
