Well, the actual purpose is just like your: inventory, but I'm not sure how you 
get your S/N and model number. Stock cisco probes don't provide either. One can 
guess the model from the "info" window, but other than that, it's kind of a 
shot in the dark.

Did you have to write a custom probe (like the one that is on the user contrib 
probes for 3750 stack)?
