You can do what you are asking quite easily on InterMapper. To specify a role on a device, right click on the device, select Set Info, and then from the Set Device Kind pull down, select your device type.
To probe for specific ports/applications, right click on the device and set a probe. You will find a number of probes under Servers-Standards. I was wondering if there was any way to specify a role for a device. We are looking to specify a device on the map as a domain controller, DNS server, or web server. Also looking to monitor traffic on specific ports such as 80 or 443 on a web server. Any way to do that? Thanks! -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.intermapper.com/viewtopic.php?p=4042#4042 ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [email protected] ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [email protected]
