It always amuses me PHP people think perl is stupid and vice versa. Both languages have their use case, sometimes I even use them side by side in the same project. PHP daemons and forking is not exactly what I would depend on working reliably. > Granted, PHP has MANY flaws, some of which are accurately mentioned > in the article (though as Pierre pointed out, it doesn't actually > raise any new points; and yes I did read the whole thing, including > the comments). There are some things that PERL and "Ruby with > [sic?!] Rails" do better. But that's why we're here. Exactly. There's a lot to improve and sometimes it can be done with little to now bc breaks. (And some breaks I would not mind if done right and for the right reasons). - -- Ralf Lang Linux Consultant / Developer Tel.: +49-170-6381563 Mail: l...@b1-systems.de B1 Systems GmbH Osterfeldstraße 7 / 85088 Vohburg / http://www.b1-systems.de GF: Ralph Dehner / Unternehmenssitz: Vohburg / AG: Ingolstadt,HRB 3537 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.18 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk+EeBcACgkQCs1dsHJ/X7DtXgCgjnp/QXvpkSo/i5AYamIVhp+s xS4AoO3vO25gDlvTyziUC0k3GYo19KDE =Yt9n -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- PHP Internals - PHP Runtime Development Mailing List To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
