Job Description:*Will be responsible for building out the next generation of internal and external mobile applications that interact with the Client’s various enterprise sub-systems which include dispatch, time tracking, billing and customer provisioning. Will be required to write programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems and database systems. Responsibilities include creating the software platform and then fine-tuning the final program. Will test, maintain and repair the JVM (Java Virtual Machine); modify existing software to correct errors and adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Will design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Will interact with the engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, develop specs and performance requirements as well as resolve customer issues. Must be able to monitor equipment function to ensure system conformance to specs; analyse data to determine, recommend and plan installation of a new system or modify an existing system; and develop and manage software system testing and validation procedures. *REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or relevant field *3+ years of experience in native Android development experience (JDK/Java)* Experience with Hybrid Mobile Application Development and REST APIs 6-10 years of experience Must have front-to-back knowledge of SDLC Must have the ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as required to resolve the issue Knowledge of computer development software (SQL, Java, J2EE, etc.) Must be able to create technical documentation and charts using modelling tools Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile/Iterative environment to timely deliver requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, proven experience in collaboration with teams to achieve desired end results, and work well independently with strong self-direction *DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:* Web UI / Scripting: JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, AngularJS, CSS/LESS, HTML5, other client side libraries Operating Systems: Windows Server and Linux Development Tools: Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse, SoapUI, Cordova, PhoneGap Source Control: Team Foundation Server (TFS), Subversion (SVN) Languages: Java, C# Databases: Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle 11g, DB2 SDLC: Agile-Scrum, Iterative.
