Another note, on Solaris 8 this time: 1)
the --enable-sun-f1x-remap option to configure creates a DEFINES+=1 line in the system-ac.mk. This makes compilation impossible, because suddenly there's an extra " 1" in the command line for gcc. Without --enable-sun-f1x-remap everything works fine. 2) --disable-xinerama must be specified - can't this be autodetected? Also, I thought that Xinerama was available in Solaris. 3) as mentioned before, when Lua is not detected no error is shown - same on Solaris. 4) the name "ion-3ds-20050116" does not play well with the Encap packaging system. I wish it was ion3-whatever so the package name would be "ion3" instead of "ion." Encap breaks things up on hyphens by default, which is reasonable for every package I've installed so far (over 200) but for Ion 3. Thanks Ted
