but I don?t think anyone has taken it upon themselves to fix it.



I?m not actively on the project , but I?d vote that this gets fixed.

I second Gabriel's opinion. I think with the current design it drains out the 
battery too fast. This can be one of the reasons.

To clarify with an example:



libuv provides two public APIs:

int uv_backend_fd(...);

int uv_backend_timeout(...);



If iotivity were to implement something similar, then those two functions 
together would inform the application when it was time to call OCProcess(), and 
how far in the future OCProcess() needed to be executed again.
