Hi,

I agree that - when creating an issue - it is the wrong time to already decide 
on the fix version.
This is why I did not make the field mandatory with the last Jira changes that 
I introduced last week.
In Jira the right time seem to be to set this when the ticket is transitioning 
to resolved state.
At this point the developer should know into which branch the ticket was 
promoted :-)
