I have not tried myself but there is a good chance it will just work (famous 
last words). The key is to install all the dev dependencies (such as dev 
libraries, headers and the build tools). There is some information for Fedora 
on this page [1] (although it may be slightly out of date) or you could also 
check all the packages and dependencies used with Ubuntu and find their 
equivalent in Fedora/CentOS (see [2]). Please report any success/failure and 
feel free to also edit the wiki pages to keep the instructions there accurate 
and up to date.
