No official spokesperson thing going on here (that's certainly not
me!!!), but: I wouldn't use 1.2.1 for serious work.  1.3.0 has been out
for four months now leading up to a 1.3.1 release soon which will be
well matched to OCF certification programs.  In the last six months
there have been a ton of code fixes and improvements very few of which
have gone back to 1.2.1, especially if you have any interest in using
IoTivity in secured mode in a product scenario.  For experiments it's
not such a big deal.
