If someone says something you find upsetting, you may find it more productive to a) take a breather; and b) explain in neutral language just what you found upsetting and ask for clarification. That way you give the other party the chance to clarify and/or make amends. After all it could be the case that you have misunderstood, or that the other guy expressed himself poorly, or that one or both of you was just having a bad day.
