javaScript from remote locations is the reason That is not what I stated , nor is what is happening. Running javascript from remote locations is fine but phonegap has support for javascript calling native api.
1) executing javascript from a remote location like a webpage should be fine. 2) executing javascript that loads on the device and executes an api method is forbidden, with the exception of those officially supported by the api. I can see were allowing a remote site to execute an api on the phone would indeed be troubling, I think Apple is trying to avoid the mess that microsoft had with first gen active X controls.
