Nic,

Have you tried putting angus.interphrase.nl in the 'Nat Gateway Host' field of the
General tab of the Server Manager?

good morning all

we are seeing exactly the same behaviour. Having added the whole machine
name does not help either. External users can start an IM, but then the
system bluntly refuses to send out any additional lines. I as an internal
user can type away, but the only person who sees it is me. When I start a
chat with an extrenal user, nothing happens at all.

We're not using IMail but the IM Database.
Now that we can finally see those who have logged on, it would be grand to
actually be able to hold a conversation on it. Sending files is rather
bemusing as a file gets sent, but ends up floating around the WWW
helplessly.

In short, something is missing, and I for one cannot find it. Do I now have
to open that second port on the firewall?

Nic

Can anyone explain what would cause this?

Internal users can see all of the external users who are logged in.

External users can not see the internal users who are logged in. (Icon shows
an Unknown status)

External users can IM internal users

Internal users can not IM external users.

Internal users can IM and see status of all Internal users.

Firewall is setup to allow 5177 and 5178 Both ways.

anyway to debug this?

Thanks,
Greg
