HOW TO TURN OFF CONVERSATION LOGGING WARNING MESSAGE on the client without
losing the functionality of conversation logging:

There is a registry key in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ipswitch\Version\Settings called "Warn on
Logging" that controls whether to display the Conversation Logging Warning
to users at login.

This key sets a value for each server that a user has logged into using the
client.

If you want to turn it off, you can set up an entry in a customized silent
install that would set this value, similar to the Client Uses NAT
information that Greg supplied...

Thanks,

Sarah Mullins

I totally agree with you Nic. Most companies (all the one I worked for
the past 8 years) made me sign some paper about policies concerning the
use of Internet and online services provided by the company.

I really think that publishing this information should be an option.

We have only between 50 to 100 users (freelancers coming in and out) and
the amount of question about this "logging conversation message" is
growing... I wouldn't want to have 1000 users in the same situation!

I also believe that one should have full control on pop-up messages
going to users. People who manage IM server in countries that ask that
this message be display should be able to enable the message while
other, like Nic, Fred and I should be able to disable it.

Happy IM'ing !:)
