Gordon did have a phasing unit. He was the father of the passive phasing unit design that Bill Bailey and I used on our Beverages in the 70's. I give Gordon credit for making them into a DX'ers tool, although the concept had plenty of prior usage outside the hobbyist circle.
Someone with a better memory can correct me, but I don't recall his using phasing units from Cambridge - possibly only from the Beverage experiments in NH?
