November got off to a good start today, with a mix of Australian and
Asian signals:
594 JOAK, Japan Man in Japanese at 1345.
639 unID traces of woman talking at 1346
693 JOAB, Japan Japanese at 1344, but never got better than poor.
702 ABC Sydney, Australia Noted Aussie-accented woman at 1356,
then fadedm but could still make out faint ABC news fanfare at 1400.
738 RFO Tahiti Woman speaking in French at 1350.
747 JOIB, Japan Weak, in Japanese at 1343.
774 JOUB, Japan By far the best of the Japanese today. Fair-good
from my 1333 start to past 1400.
828 JOBB, Japan Man in Japanese at 1344, //774 khz.
855 unID Just traces of audio at 1347.
972 HLCA, Korea Making one of its rare appearances this season,
and with a decent signal to boot. Woman in Korean at 1339, then music.
1116 4BC Brisbane, Australia Vocal by a woman at 1344, and
woman giving a commercial at 1348. Best level in a couple of months.
1179 unID Traces of audio at 1357.
1287 JOHR, Japan Man in Japanese at 1359.
1548 4QD Emerald, Australia Man speaking at 1348. Poor, but
definitely English.
1557 unID Traces of music at 1344.
1566 HLAZ, Korea Woman in Japanese, poor at 1341, but good by 1350.
