I beg to differ on one point, that a good satellite backup will make this
STM-1 Bullet Proof. This whole National Backbone is ill-conceived and
badly designed from the start. This is no way to design a National
Backbone, on which the whole future of the IT in Pakistan is being placed.

Remember that what ever patches are placed on a bad design, it will still
be a bad design, because the foundations are weak.

PTCL made a BIG MISTAKE by not consulting ISPAK, the Internet People in
the country before designing this National Backbone, and now they are
trying to brush the dirt under the mat, by applying patches.
