Hi John,

you are perfectly right, I went down the wrong road leading to nowhere.
Reason is we had so many support requests where the console was MOVED
LOGICALLY,
i.e. a new console installed. So I gave the right answer to a different
problem.
In the case given a new key would not help but would not hurt either.
When 
troubleshooting network problems like this its always a good idea to
telnet into 
the engine daemon ports to see if a connection gets established. You
should see
a prompt message in your telnet window. If this is not the case you
definitely got a networking problem. Make sure the daemon is up and
running too.
