it is currently using 8.1.1 version.
Based on https://endoflife.date/gradle , the 8.x stream receives only critical
updates since August 2025. The latest version is 8.14.4 and it doesn't support
Java 25.
So either need to upgrade to gradle 9+ (or remove the gradle templates? is it
really used if nobody complained of such an old version?)
