I think the last time I searched for LCS in GitHub (in Java/Python) the implementations were similar to algorithm A. Good improvement for Commons Text. Thanks @kinow :) Yes, the idea has been around for quite a long time; that was surprising to me as well when I first learned about this newer algorithm. Right, traditional implementations are more or less the same as "Algorithm A," according to that CACM paper (which is then refined by Algorithm B/C in the paper). > ...
