I've changed some of the close logic so that the underlying stream is not
closed once all deflated data has been read and added a few tests and
documentation. As it is I am fine with merging the branch to master unless
anybody yells. Reviews of the COMPRESS-380 branch are more than welcome.
I know we need to add a few more tests.
