Description:
There's broad support and consensus for [moving our community chat room(s) from
Mifos's Slack workspace to
Matrix|https://lists.apache.org/thread/7mvvxs20r3n9oqkbncm74wfxlyq92ll1]. This
issue is to capture some related doc and project website changes.
▶️ update current Slack chat: e.g. redirect people to new Matrix chat, update
description, link to new chat, deprecate/archive/close Slack chat, etc.
▶️ update [Readme|https://github.com/apache/fineract/blob/develop/README.md]
and [contributor
guide|https://github.com/apache/fineract/blob/develop/CONTRIBUTING.md]
▶️ add chat link to [project website|https://fineract.apache.org/]
▶️ update
[FAQ|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=91554327]
after [PR #6033|https://github.com/apache/fineract/pull/6033] is merged
▶️ maybe disable [Mifos Slack Chat
Archive|https://github.com/mifos/chat-archive]? The
[archiver|https://github.com/apache/fineract-chat-archive] only supports Slack.
We may eventually wish to create an archive for the new Matrix chats, but it's
way easier to export all data from Matrix so there's no rush. But maybe keep
the archiver Mifos Slack Chat Archive active because the old #fineract channel
[will remain
active|https://mifos.slack.com/archives/C028634A61L/p1782328097199329].
