Review Comment:
   How about a unit test for semi-realistic case where say each vector is 
duplicated 20X ish times?  I just want to exercise the many duplicates case, 
maybe not the precise heat death "all duplicates" case.  I think that's a 
separate spinoff -- maybe we already have test cases for heat death (since it 
struck for real in the wild, longish ago)?
