   It's not another issue.  The 
https://github.com/apache/maven/commit/e327be3d85918a23a5ba48d752143a6dbf8b83f7 
commit actually breaks build extension.  This PR fixes the problem, but the 
older commit is meaningless once this one is applied, as the classloader is 
already reverted by this fix (which was the original problem iiuc).
