I disagree that the visual is sufficient.
An Icon alone, is rarely sufficient for informational details in a web app.
Take JIRA itself as an example. Look in the top left "Issue Details" for this
jira ticket.
It doesn't say ....
Type: [ICON]
Status: [ICON]
Priority: [ICON]
It says.
Type: [ICON] Bug
Status: [ICON] Open
Priority: [ICON] Trivial
That is a good example of informational icons.
Now the Icons in the top right of this jira (Print / Help) are action icons /
buttons, those are handled differently, and are tasks, not information.
