Ayush Saxena commented on TEZ-4533:
-----------------------------------

Hi [~zabetak]

Isn’t the policy like, there shouldn’t be any ‘unexpected’ binary in the source
tar, this one is a expected one, it in there in the git repo as well. We do
have general binary files in many projects like there are bin folders in the
distro as well, hadoop bin directory has those hadoop, hdfs, yarn files used to
run those shell commands, I think hive does hive bin folder with hive,
schematool and so…they are different?

This binary file is added for test purpose, does the policy forbids having
binary files for test purpose. Can you point me to the document around that?

if we remove this our git tag and src tar shall differ & would have difference
in test behaviour as well, not sure what is the ideal way to handle this

> is a binary file thus it should not be part of the source code distribution
> of Apache Tez cause it violates the ASF policy.
