Hello all,
This may not be applicable to all of you but Science in the South
registration materials are online at http://www.dce.siu.edu

This is a great conference and worth the drive to Carbondale. Around
350 teachers attend and they are excited about science. Those of you
in the southern counties, please pass this on to your local
listservs. I will be there at the ISTA booth and attendees will have
opportunities to sign up to be POC's and Key Leaders. We will also
acknowledge all POC's and Key Leaders at the luncheon. Your
registration fee includes a 1-year membership in ISTA. Encourage
folks to attend!

Also, once again, be sure to apply to be a KL on the isbe website.
Some of you have had questions about the CQ. Just write about some of
your ideas you have implemented in the classroom and your enthusiasm
for science education. Gwen and I are meeting on FEB 20 to screen the
applications received by then. ISTA members will have first priority
but where no ISTA member applies - wellŠ
ISTA is planning special recognition and perks for all members who
sign on, including a picnic this summer for all to get acquainted. Do
it today as slots are filling quickly! The website is:
