This is due to the fact that the elements in question are the ones which
start with a space character.

The text position is correct for all of those elements. But all elements
which start with a space and have some visible characters thereafter look
positioned wrong (if rendered without respecting word spacing) while all
elements without a space or with a space only at their end look roughly
correct (as not much character spacing is applied).

In case of the line you posted here

{
Ma}{-22.5}{r}{-25.5}{k}{-10.2}{e}{-17.6}{t}{-20.7}{i}{-12.3}{n}{-14.1}{g}{-17.8}{
}{6526.7}{Ma}{-22.5}{t}{-20.7}{h}{-7.4}{ }

the only elements with spaces are the first { Ma} and later two { }. If you
print isolated spaces in the wrong manner, nothing bad happens. Thus only {
Ma} appears funny.
