Thank you for looking into this. The precise packages I downloaded were iup-3.17_Win32_dllw4_lib.zip and iup-3.17-Lua53_Win32_dll4_lib.zip The former package also has a Lua53 subfolder, but it is empty when I unzip it. The iup.dll links correctly to a simple C project I made in Code::Blocks; the problem must be in the linkage between iuplua53.dll and iup.dll.
