Any progress on this? I spent this evening searching for a solution. Everything works great if I use the tuner on the card, but I get the tinny audio when using composite video/audio input. Not sure if it's the same as what others have experienced. I have included links to samples.
# First, set video and audio to PVR-150 tuner, and set tuner to channel 3 (since I have a digital cable box connected) > ivtvctl -p0 > ivtvctl -q0 > ivtvctl -r 980 > cat /dev/video0 > foo.mpg # ctrl+c to stop capture > mplayer -vo xv foo.mpg This output looks and sounds fine. Sample here: http://128.197.39.54/ foo.mpg # But, now set video to composite input and line-in audio > ivtvctl -p2 > ivtvctl -q1 > cat /dev/video0 > foo4.mpg # ctrl+c to stop capture > mplayer -vo xv foo.mpg This output has the tinny audio. Sample here: http://128.197.39.54/ foo4.mpg Can anyone confirm this is the same type of audio distortion others are experiencing? My setup: - WinTV PVR-150 (model 1045 -- if it makes a difference, this is NOT the MCE edition) - Fedora Core 5 - kernel 2.6.16-1.2111_FC5 #1 Thu May 4 21:16:58 - ivtv, version 0.6.2, release: 110.rhfc5.at - ivtvctl, version 0.6.2 (development snapshot compiled on Mon May 8 07:30:56 2006) Tinny audio with both firmware versions below: - HcwMakoA.ROM (in /lib/modules linked as v4l-cx25840.fw in both /lib/ firmware and /lib/modules) - HcwMakoC.ROM (in /lib/modules linked as v4l-cx25840.fw in both /lib/ firmware and /lib/modules) Thanks to anyone that can provide some answers. It almost sounds like the audio sampling rate is getting set incorrectly. -- Cram _______________________________________________ ivtv-devel mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-devel
