I posted mpegs of all the variations of the sound problem that I have been able to produce so far by forcing the audio detection into different states: http://www.geocities.com/high_alive/ I make these with cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg Does anyone know how to record only sound, not video? That would save me time and disk space. I'm using a reduced video bitrate, but I would rather not have video at all. Jim
