Hello, To begin with, I have a _working_ system: Linux version: 2.6.11-1.27_FC3 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.4, with ivtv driver: version 0.3.2 (q). I guess that means that nothing is wrong with my hardware, cabling and so on. (No newer version than 0.3.2q ever worked for me).
But because the setup is so old, and because I want to upgrade mythtv as well, every now and then I try to get ivtv up and running on a fresh Fedora system, and until now it keeps failing. I'v tried with kernel 2.6.18-1.2849.fc6 (and the slightly older 2798 as well), with ivtv-0.8.0 as well as a svn version and a trunk tgz. The result is always the same: tuner works fine (all 32 channels, with sometimes a hint of not lip-syncness), but on the s-video channel I don't have any colour. I've tested with 'mplayer /dev/video0' and with 'cat /dev/video0 >file; mplayer file', so there is no mythtv or anything in the way. I've dug through the mailing lists and the curious thing is that I seem to be the only one. If there's anything else I can try (parameters or debugging levels), I'm glad to do so.
