Hi all, As you may have noticed I haven't done much with ivtv lately and this is expected to continue for the next few weeks. The main two reasons for this are that I worked very hard to get it into the kernel and so I needed some time off, and that for my work I'll be moving to Lysaker, Norway for what will probably be the next 5-6 months. I'm leaving this Friday and I expect that it will take a while to settle in. It should be possible for me to continue my work on ivtv, but it will take some time to set everything up.
Some people have problems with clock drift and remote keypresses. These are almost certainly caused by the use of PIO memory copies inside the ivtv interrupt routine. Two or three weeks ago I made a patch to fix this, but unfortunately it introduced a new problem: sliced VBI handling for the cx2584x digitizer broke: half of the VBI data seems to go missing. Oddly enough it works fine for the saa7115 digitizer. The patch is available here: http://www.xs4all.nl/~hverkuil/ivtv-pio.diff And I'd love it if someone can discover why it no longer works with the cx2584x. I do not have time for this, so I hope someone else can take up the gauntlet.
