running an upto date debian sarge with Custom 2.6.10, noting unchecking of preempt,4k stacks and the t'ther one.
i think i'm missing something really basic here.
on boot dmesg indicates bttv etc loading and detecting a card ( see dmesg.log)
i then go slightly mad rmmodding everything bttv related, suppose i might need to rename bbtv.ko?? to stop it loading in the first place.
then applying what i've gleamed from the jarad guide, the wiki and this list,
all i get is mess.log, also no /dev/vid* devices either.
comment in list indicates ivtv has not loaded fully, but i have the exit message
could someone post a definite line for an insmod ivtv with full debug set i've tried insmod ./ivtv.ko ivtv_debug=255 and appear to only get the 'setting some variables' line, extra in the o/p
tveeprom shows nothing in log either
also i get a lot of of 'Ignoring new-style parameters in presence of obsolete ones'
i've been using the output from 'modinfo xxxx' as a guide for parameters.
added lspic & for the pvr350, lspci -vvn
